♥ Ludwig Kakumei
Author: Kaori Yuki
Length: 4 volumes, 16 chapters.
Completed
Damn I’m addicted.
A metrosexual prince, Ludwig, is chased out of the castle by his king father to look for a princess bride. The manga follows his adventures with his attendant, Wilhelm, of seeking pretty princess with big bust sizes in the form of twisted fairy tales.
This may be biased because of my current addiction of fairy tales given a twist, but this one is darn. I’m all out 5/5 for this thing here. The art is beautiful and consistent and modern, and it is cleverly funny with some twisted plot lines. Ah~ What more can you ask for?
Tis a 5/5. Can I give a 6/5, please? No? Ah, ma~n….
In the meantime, I shall look for more twisted fairy tales :3
Sample:
EDIT: I see this was classified as a gothic horror manga. I don't think it's horror per se. :P But yeah, according to baka-updates manga, it's for everyone who loves fairy tales and doesn't mind seeing their favorite princess dying.

♥ Emerging

Title: Emerging
Author: Hokazono Masaya
Length: Medium: 22
A new disease is spreading across Japan, and they race against time to find a cure and treat the many people who were infected. It's a medical manga with scientific explanations in it, and you don't really find a lot on that topic. And it's actually not boring, you just had to know how it ends. (note: I didn't like how it ends... but I guess that is a fact of nature and not even technology can change that)
The whole thing seems to attack the attitude of japanese government towards epidemics. I don't know about it because I don't live in Japan and I'm not updated with their news either, but it sent off that vibes. I know the main purpose of literature is to send a message, but it did turn me off.
The nice thing about this manga is its realism. It uses scientific language realistically and there are also those annoying health department heads who will say everything is under control even if it isn't.
So I give it a 5/5. :D

Title: Ability Shop
Author: Tashiro Tatsuya
Length: ONESHOT
Art is modern-okay. But the story is something I've read a lot of times in fairy tales/fables/stories for children. Perhaps a manga for children to learn their special values? Even then, I had fun reading. I wanted to give it a 3.5/5, but because it still is a fun read, cliche or not, I'll give it a...

I'll make a review when I can make a proper one. The past ones are all not proper :D

ONESHOT
Yep, I've got a liking for oneshots. They're pretty easy to read.
Jean has lived his death for a hundred times already, and it starts at that point.

3/5
well, I think the story is good, and the drawing is fine, but I've seriously had enough of people reliving their deaths and traitors. Because of that, the story got really easy to predict. (I mean, come on, of course he's going to stop reliving his death already and of course there has to be an overused twist somewhere)

Title: Emerald
Author: Samura Hiroaki
ONESHOT
It's a oneshot, but it's a hell of a story. It's drawn a bit messy: sketchy drawing, no solid black only saturated lines, but I guess it's part of the technique because it's a story from wild wild west. Even though the art is not what I personally like, the story is still very good. You won't really figure out how the story was going to operate. Very nice for a oneshot :D

Title: School Mermaid
Author: Yoshitomi Akihito
Length: Short (3)
Genre: horror. The drawing isn't really scary. Maybe only for the scary cover and the part with floating feet, but it's not something you'll lose sleep with. Not at all.
But to be frank, I'm tired with these kinds of twists. So I'm giving it a 3/5

♥ Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru

Title: Shinrei Tantei Yakumo - Akai Hitomi wa Shitteiru (Psychic Detective Yakumo)
Author: Kaminaga Manabu
Artist: Miyako Ritsu
Length: Short (9 chapters)
This manga is nicely drawn. It is drawn in the modern way, and the way the characters look is very consistent and light.
The story is light as well. Yakumo is a psychic detective (he can see ghosts, and has a red eye :D), and Haruka one day asks for his help. They begin to get close to each other... and by the end of the manga they implicitly like each other.
It's on the horror genre because of the ghosts. It gets scary, especially at the height of the cases, but it is bearable because of the way the manga was drawn.
And at the end of it, a character changes, the other one doesn't really change much. Guess who ^_~
Rate: 4/5

♥ Review: Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles - Shunraiki
Anyway, I thought it was Celes arc, since the last OAV made was Tokyo arc. But it was Nihon and they only showed glimpses of Celes through flashbacks. CLAMP Why oh why? Celes is the ultimate heartbreaker! Everything between Tokyo and Nihon is the ultimate heartbreaker! I cried reading the Celes arc, and I really wish to find an animated version of the thing, not flashbacks. Non-manga readers can only guess what happened there, because flashbacks are obviously not enough. CLAMP does know that Tsubasa is terribly migraine-inducing, don't they? Then why are they leaving important parts of the story behind?
But anyway, I'll stop complaining and start relishing the goods.
I was like, oh shit. This is the Fai I imagine. He seems more tangible. Like he gained more flesh or something. Maybe it's just how he was drawn, but that was what appealed to me the most. He has 'flesh', he seemed closer to being real. And... argh, the first scene <3! The first scene was Celes closing in because of Fai's magic and Kurogane holding on to Fai and Fai saying go and Kurogane cutting his arm off. Emotion overload right at the start ^_~!
After that, no more. Either it was Sakura/Syaoran or too blatant KuroFai for my taste. There was something in this part, too. I admit I don't like this series' Sakura. She's so darn helpless. Here, she matured, (hell, everyone matured) and there was a heartbreaking scene between her and clone Syaoran. Tomoyo, Amaterasu, Seishirou and Fuuma were hilarious, too. And Fai's gold eyes is <3. (Oh, and Kurofai teasings are back :D)
Some say the animation was bad. It's really good. The CLAMP characters gained flesh :)) They were way too thin since the start of the series (season 1). Now that I think about it, it might be their technique. The first season was crap, they were simply pieces of paper too thin for their own good. But gradually, it got better until the current OAV made them look tangible. No, it's not 3d or anything (someone might expect that after reading this) but it made them look like they have 'weight' and are not as superficial as slices of paper. After ALL THAT, they are supposed to get more real.
Oh, and another note. The opening scene, where Kuro gets Fai out of the closing world, is where Fai loses his white fluffy coat. That means a lot, as I learned from the official KuroFai fansite - too much white is never good, it must be balanced. When Kuro pulls him out, he was also pulled out of his white fluffy coat. That made his clothes more balanced (light and dark blue), and I guess that also made him more balanced. Ah~ Seriously, I can watch that scene over and over and over and freaking over again. I'll never tire of that scene.
But I'm still waiting for the ultimate heartbreaker arc, CLAMP. I want Celes.

♥ @_@
There was a passenger a while ago who lost her phone. On the other end of the jeepney, there was a streetkid who went for a free ride who was being just plain annoying for the heck of it - cursing other passengers and slapping his seatmate.
